How to become part of the Joint Replacement Club
1) Speak up. Tell your surgeon you would like to have your surgery at Baptist Medical Center and you want to enroll in the Joint Replacement Club.
2) Set a date. Your surgeon’s office will work with you and the hospital to schedule your surgery.
3) Plan ahead. The Baptist Medical Center Joint Replacement Club coordinator will contact you to schedule your pre-operative education class 2 to 3 weeks prior to your surgery.
4) Pre-Admission Testing. Your surgeon or Club coordinator will contact you to schedule pre-admission testing prior to your surgery.
5) Get Moving. What to expect after your surgery
1) Rejoin your loved ones who came to support you in one of the private Joint Replacement Club rooms.
2) Recover your mobility with the help of our specially trained nursing, physical rehabilitation and medical staff in the form of:
- Instruction and assistance with exercises that will ease your transition when returning home.
- A package of instructions and adaptive equipment to increase your independence in performing day-to-day tasks.
