Baptist Cancer Center
At the Baptist Cancer Center patients have an entire team backing them - oncologists, specialized surgeons, radiation oncologists all working together to treat and beat the cancer. At their first visit, patients will meet with all of the specialists involved in their care. Upon receiving test results, the surgeon, together with the oncologist and the radiation oncologist will map out an individualized course of treatment and present it to the patient and his or her family, also within the first visit.
This multidisciplinary approach mirrors the practice found in hospital teaching environments and allows for integrated care between physicians and support staff.
