Healthy Baby & Child Expo 2008


For the fourth consecutive year, the popular Healthy Baby & Child Expo returns to San Antonio — ready to dispense the latest information on an array of products, services and organizations designed to promote a healthier lifestyle for families and their children.

The Expo will be held Saturday, March 14th from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Sunday, March 15th from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. in the Alamo Dome. Admission cost is $5 for adults. Children 12 and under are FREE.

Presented by Baptist Health System, H-E-B and The San Antonio Metropolitan Health District, the Expo is expected to top last year’s attendance of 9,000 by offering an even greater diversity of products, services and organizations plus additional activities and entertainment for the entire family, including: free health screenings, educational seminars, taste tests, beauty makeovers, fashion shows, giveaways and contests and interactive stations for children.

Companies With A History of Community Leadership

Due to the tremendous vendor and community response we received in 2006, the Expo was made into an annual event.  In 2007, Baptist Health System and H-E-B were pleased to announce the addition of the San Antonio Metropolitan Health District as a third partner in this endeavor.

The mission of the San Antonio Metropolitan Health District is to promote health and prevent disease among the residents and visitors of San Antonio and unincorporated areas of Bexar County through community health assessment, identification of unmet health needs, development of policies to meet those needs and assurance that needs are met through the development of public-private partnerships and/or the direct provision of services.
