Faith and Ministry Partnership For over fifty years, the Baptist Health System was formally affiliated with the Baptist General Convention of Texas (BGCT).
In January of 2003 when ownership for our healthcare system was transferred to Vanguard Health Systems, we entered into a new relationship with the BGCT. Now, through the leadership of our BHS Faith and Community Ministry Division, we are working as partners in Christian ministry with the BGCT, providing pastoral care for patients, families and employees, and practical service in our community.
The Faith and Community Ministry division is also responsible for maintaining and building our relationship with the BGCT and other faith communities, and for leading our employees into community service. To view the BGCT website, go to www.bgct.org .
